Calorising. Referring to yours By8/H24.3.25 and By9/H25.3.25 and the conversation I had with you yesterday, I have had a communication from Mr.Lead, of the Calorising Corporation of Great Britain, to the effect that the temperatures employed in calorising lie between 800°C and 900°C., therefore it would appear to be impracticable to calorise parts which have brazed joints. Mr.Lead is unable to come here today or tomorrow, but he has made arrangements to come here on Monday next at 11 a.m. to discuss with us the possibility of leaving uncalorised those surfaces which come together to form a brazed joint.
