To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 23.UP.00A9 MAD A9T E4/G7119 Contd. STANDARD VALVE LIFT 7 CA CAM LIFT PLOTTED IN LIEU OF VALVE LIFT. So far as we recollect, Mr. Stent made the necessary calculations for the 7 CA movement, and we should be glad if you could throw any light on the points raised. We expect to receive in due course, drawings of the INLET CAM shape. We shall then compare these in a similar manner with the original standard. As pointed out in the beginning of this letter, we should like the VALVE LIFT chart for both inlet and exhaust, but failing this, we should like a table of values of the VALVE LIFT, together with the values of the accelerations and durations of accelerations.
