Technical memorandum regarding frame and fitting parts for the Wraith III chassis, supplied by Rubery Owens.

ASSEMBLED FRAME SUPPLIED BY RUBERY OWENS. We understand from RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SS.{S. Smith} that Rubery Owens have tools in their possession to make various parts which were used in the early stages of the above frame. These parts have now been replaced by later drawings which necessitated new tools, but we have gone over the job with RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SS{S. Smith}, and have now made various modifications to the parts used at present, to enable the existing tools to be utilised. Accordingly we attach herewith three blue prints of the following parts, previously unissued to Rubery Owens :- FW.1475 Bracket (Outer) - Rear Brake Inter. Shaft. 2 off - replacing FW.1225. FW.1476 Bracket (Inner) - Rear Brake Inter. Shaft. 2 off - replacing FW.1226. These parts can be made from the tools already in existance for FW.486/7, which are now obsolete. We are also reverting to the following parts, for which we understand tools are made :- FW.257 Stiffener in Frame Side Member - R.H. 2 off, replg.FW.1237. FW.258 " " " " " - L.H. 1 " " FW.1238. FW.257/8 have been modified in respect to the bottom flange, which has been partly cut away. We attach herewith three blue prints of each, together with three blue prints of each of the following, which have been modified to suit the above, and respacing of the upper bolts for the rear foot of the cruciform, to enable FW.257/8 to be fitted :- FW.1422 Assembly of Cruciform.
