Chateauroux.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}13.3.39.

We have sent over to-day to Paris the old half shafts with new bearings. We are also sending you a small amount of Shell RB{R. Bowen} grease. Will you please pack this round the bearings before assembly and also make some provision for external addition of grease every 5,000 miles. If necessary drill the axle tube and fit [REDACTED] lubricators.

With regard to roll rod rubbers, will you confirm that after the first run on 8.B., rubbers were found to be broken, and that this also occurred on one other B.V.
