To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BJ. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to CWB. X5430 Hsl/LG7.4.26. 20 HP: STEERING LOCK. We were wrong in stating that the steering lever was the cause of the reduced lock on the 20 HP. car. As you are aware the real cause of the lock being reduced is due to the new steering with the outside pendulum lever. We understand from the D.O. at Derby that you have agreed it is inevitable when the new steering is fitted with the right-hand steering lock will be reduced from 40° to 33°. The left-hand lock will remain unaltered. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
