20 hp H-O Dynamo with Field Resistance (Preliminary)
A rough test has been carried out on dynamo N having 48 coil armature and unsymmetrical poles to ascertain what resistance inserted in the field would be capable of dissipating the maximum possible wattage with the machine working on a system at schedule voltage and also what the peak output of the machine would be with such a resistance inserted.
The dynamo was got to an intermediate temperature and various resistances inserted whilst speed was varied until first, the maximum field current and next, peak output were obtained.
