Description of Parts.
SPLIT UPPER BALL PAD IN CROSS STEERING TUBE JOINT AND INCREASED SPRING LOAD. FRICTION TO BE 3-3½ lbs. AT OPPOSITE END OF TUBE.
Origin.
To prevent low speed wobbles.
Report of Experimental Test.
Fitted to 35-FX and completed 8,000 miles in London. Satisfactorily.
Also fitted to all experimental Ph.III and a large number of production Ph.III.
