I had a run on the experimental car on Tuesday morning last but it was not very valuable because all the synchromesh mechanism had been taken out of the gearbox so that one could not really try the overdrive as it would normally be used.

Additionally it was a very wet morning and I only had an hour to spare.

This is just to tell you that I should really like to have a longer run at some convenient opportunity when the car is in a more fit state for trial.
