Modifications for an 8 arm star spring to prevent dust ingress and specify new dimensions.

Something will have to be done experimentally to prevent dust entering between the star spring arms. The centre of the 8 arm star spring should be a plain hole to fit on the shortened sleeve GB.4061. The outside diameter of the flat portion should be about 0.700" greater than the diameter of this hole; while the outside diameter of the washer supporting it should be slightly larger again. The arms should be similar to those on G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 53180, apart from the gauge and free movement. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR.{M. H. Rigby} | ||
