side. This will protect the thrust race from dust. Something will have to be done experimentally to prevent dust entering between the star spring arms.

The centre of the 8 arm star spring should be a plain hole to fit on the shortened sleeve GB.4061. The outside diameter of the flat portion should be about 0.700" greater than the diameter of this hole; while the outside diameter of the washer supporting it should be slightly larger again. The arms should be similar to those on G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 53180, apart from the gauge and free movement.
