[Handwritten note: E & B] The ideal Bonnet Fastener should be:- [1] Permanently rattleproof, [2] Flexible, [3] Of good appearance, [4] Weatherproof, [5] Quick and easy to operate, [6] Allow for wide variation in fit of Bonnet, [7] Low in cost, [Handwritten note: To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E Will you please order some of these, up agreed 5/9/32] and in the conception of this new Amal line these seven features have been regarded as essential, and while the majority of Bonnet Fasteners already on the market possess some or even most of these essential features, we believe the Amal to be the only one which can justly lay claim to them all. The enclosed illustration shows very clearly the general construction and the exceptionally clean external appearance, there being nothing visible when the Bonnet is closed except a neat and unobtrusive knob which can be either in bright chromium finish or black bakelite according to individual taste. We shall be very pleased indeed to submit samples for inspection and test, and should appreciate an opportunity of quoting for you for your season's requirements in this direction.
