X.4075. To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} EFC2/T16.1.22. X.4075 - GOSHAWK WIRING. We are sending you herewith sample cables which have been taken from a quantity of cable obtained, sufficient for three 40/50 chassis, in connection with the R.R. earthed wiring scheme, now in abeyance. It is proposed to adopt this wiring for the Goshawk chassis. We attach also copy of specification of this wiring, on which you will see all particulars. It is suggested that the blue wire, namely, 70/36's shall be used for the main battery and dynamo connections, and that the 40/36's shall be used for the lights, ignition, Klaxon, body lighting, etc. This wiring, having been approved for the R.R. earthed wiring scheme on the 40/50, should certainly be correct for the Goshawk. The Production Dept. are therefore ordering up from Messrs. Glovers, sufficient for a considerable number of Goshawk chassis. EFC. | ||
