| 261a (Experimental Dept.) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}4/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 23rd February, 1937. L. Hawkins, Esq., Cheslyn House, Cheslyn Hay, Staffs: Dear Sir, In Mr. Robotham's absence the Writer tried your car - B.64.GA - for brake squeaks, and was unable to produce any noise except when brakes were dead cold and damp. We have re-lined the brakes with a third type of material which tends to keep the drums free from the thin rust film which forms in humid weather. We have also carried out certain other modifications to your brakes, and we think you will like the result. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
