Dear Sirs, Very many thanks for your letter of the 7th inst. with reference to my proposed visit to your Works. I am so sorry there has been such a muddle about this visit but I was quite unable to come today owing to other engagements. I note that Monday the 12th is inconvenient for you so I now suggest we fix Tuesday the 13th definitely. If this is in order at your end, there is no need to reply to confirm it.
