6153 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}9/JH. 10th. July, 1939. Masteradio Ltd., Newton Street, High Holborn, LONDON.W.C.2. Your ref. HB{C. E. Harcombe}/DP. Dear Sirs, Many thanks for your letter of the 24th. June. The fact that most of our experimental cars now have radio sets has rather delayed our reply. However, we now find that we have a car available and will therefore be pleased to test out your new eight valve set. With regard to your remarks on inter-station quietness, we are not so concerned about noise between stations so long as it is absent when the set is tuned to signals of moderate strength. We note that the control head has been modified and would like one of these to be included with the set for test. Thanking you for your kind attention. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
