TRANSLATION. 1, Place du Juillet, Malakoff Seine (FRANCE) GP/4th. February, 1940. Dear Mr.Evernden, Mr. Sleator has sent to me a translation of your memo. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/BA.6.1.40. So the old programme remains unchanged. (1) Firstly, with respect to the 1/10 scale models I am awaiting a quotation for the wind tunnel tests, a rather involved job at the moment, but I have been promised that it may be fixed up soon. I would be very glad if you would tell me the Horse Power at the rims, 's it 122 H.P. that we should take for the calculations? Is the"B.V. standard" the same as the "Corniche" ? Afterwards shall we take the horsepower of the Embericos in order to make a comparison? is that it. (2) I have finished a design for the "Comet Corniche". I have assumed a B.V. chassis with a modified front crossmember and a radiator moved forward, according to the scheme PD.278. You say you have sent me the designs of 11.B.V. but I have not got such a scheme. The schemes which I took away with me after my last trip to Derby are PD.416. PD.453. DCD.1391 and a project giving the general dimensions of the "Myth" that is all. I therefore, ask you to send me the schemes of 11.B.V. (I do not know their numbers) and also FB.5082 for B.10.AW and B.12.AW which I no longer possess. (3) At the moment I am all out on the scheme for the "Comet Competition" which I will send to you with the Comet Corniche for your criticisms. (4) With regard to the instrument board and the bumper I am scheming but have hit on nothing that satisfies me at the moment. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
