To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} X540 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.10/KW.16.8.35. 20/25 HP. Chassis Radiator Matrices. Referring to your memos. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/MS.8/P.31.7.35 and Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Ms.2/P.15.8.35, we do not think it desirable to standardise the 58 mm. Marston Mark V matrix for the 20/25 for two reasons :- (1) We are in the process of carrying out tests on Marston's latest matrix - the Mark VI type - which promises to be superior to the Mark V.{VIENNA} (2) With the increased bore 20/25 engine in view, we have yet to decide on the minimum size of matrix which will cool the larger engine.
