Two condensers in parallel.
Various rough tests made recently have shown that doing this, even with platinum points, often increases the certainty of sparking, although the maximum spark length obtainable is slightly reduced.

This seems to confirm that missing is sometimes due to sparking at the contacts.

Also it is to be noted that all the American ignitions we have examined, use condensers, ranging from .30 mf to .50 mf. capacity, as
