S. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 6142 DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}10/S.9.5.38. BENTLEY SO. DYNAMO. CHILDS Herewith is D.CD.586 shewing the dynamo for the C.I. engine, arranged for belt drive. The design incorporates the 36 slot armature and bronze brush gear. Other features are mild steel shaft, parallel fit for pulley, single pole-piece screws, push in lubricators and welded magnet shell, made by Lucas. In case building up from sheet metal should not be the best way of making the pulley, we have shewn an aluminium die cast design as an alternative, we should be glad if Works would give us an indication of their preference.
