It has been observed that when resistance supressor units are fitted to sparking plugs and ignition coils to prevent ignition interference with radio sets, the idling performance of the engine is slightly impaired. This is more particularly noticeable with 20/25 and Bentley chassis. Customers should therefore be informed that they may not get good ultra-idling performance with their cars when a radio set is installed. The slow running with the engine "pulling" is not impaired at all. The experimental Dept. are working at schemes to eliminate ignition interference by other means than by inserting these suppressors.
