X.3456. Extract from R3/M1.9.22, X.3614. LOUVRES (RADIATOR) WITH THERMOMETER. X.3456. It is now agreed that the lower grade of petrol demands the engine temperature to be maintained as high as possible and this can best be controlled by louvres in the front of the radiator and a satisfactory thermometer. These should be fitted to all production cars, both 40/50s. and Goshawks, in England and America. The 40/50s are to be vertical, and the Goshawks are to be horizontal. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
