INSTRUCTION BOOK - PHANTOM III.

Will you please have the following inserted in the P.III Instruction Book:-

When a Phantom III is facing up a gradient there is a tendency for the mixture to be stronger than when the car is on the level. This is particularly true in hot weather. For this reason the following procedure must be used when starting a car under these conditions:-

Starting with engine hot, especially when facing up on a gradient -

(1) Place hand throttle control half-way up the quadrant.

(2) Do not operate the accelerator pedal, this is essential for easy starting.

(3) Switch the ignition on, and immediately press the starter button.
