TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. c. to WGR. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ✓ ORIGINAL Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M30.12.22. GOSHAWK 11. SIDE SPARE WHEEL CARRIER. X4085 In reply to Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}10/P271222., we send herewith N.sch. 1366 shewing what we propose in the way of a cover to conceal the dirty interior of the wire wheel hub. We are not quite certain of the best way to treat this, but we think that if the plates are black enamelled and the head of the bolt heavily nickel plated, it might be the best arrangement, but as a result of experience you may find it desirable to make the cover disc of nickel silver and polish. It will be seen that the alteration to the original pieces is very slight. Would you please send a print to LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} We have already written him explaining that it is for the Sales conference.
