HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} LID{A. J. Lidsey} Spe me EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}?/19.11.32. COPY TO [REDACTED] RE PEREGRINE BODIES. X We have wired you to collect the body for 4.Per.2. on Tuesday morning next, when it is sure to be ready. It has been agreed by SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that Park Ward can come up and mount the body, provided we accept the responsibility for their maintaining the necessary secrecy. This I have agreed to do. Mr. Park has been away at the Glasgow Show but on Tuesday I shall discuss with him who to send to you, and the question of charges. Whatever we do we cannot help sending the wings to Sanderson and Holmes for painting and buffing and on the whole I am inclined to suggest that Park Ward had better send one man only who is an expert on finishing and mounting wings letting yourstaff assist with the body mounting. Later on this difficulty will be overcome if we have our own little paintshop and buffing machine. Would you please wire Park Ward & Co. the exact time you are ready to commence the mounting of this body when their man will come up. The All-weather Coupe, the next body will be ready by the end of next week but we will confirm this later by wire. This is the body we had in mind for "R" when the chassis is in a sufficiently developed state to let him have it. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} [Signature] 191 GW π 3²/4 6.4 37 | ||
