X430 To E.F.C. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to E.C. " HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " PM. RB{R. Bowen}/G11/4/21. [Stamp: ROLLS-ROYCE LTD DERBY 20 MAY 1921] MAGNETOS. x3916 x4161 x3997 x4313 My remarks on failure of U.S.A. Bosch should have referred to a smaller type (B.6) & No failure has been experienced with the more exact copy of the original Z.R.6 (which we have adopted). Very slow running combined with (Northey's suggestion) light weight can only be obtained with the sleeve type. These promise well, and should have many advantages. Do they permit of the safety gap being larger ? Let Mr. Northey have a sleeve type on his car to see if it satisfies all his views. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
