BONNET REST SCHEME FOR PHANTOM III. AND
25/30.HP. for Production.

At the recent conference where the above question was raised, it was decided that for immediate production, mild steel angles and wider Ferodo strip should be used. - The proposed extruded aluminium angles and Kansas snubber rest strip being too experimental to be standardised without tests.

We note that the Drawing Office have instructed wide Ferodo rest strip and nickel silver angles - the last are incorrect.

The scheme which is to be tested out experimentally is that with extruded aluminium angles and Kansas Snubber strip, but the mild steel angles were definitely agreed to for Production in conference (By.1/G.21.1.37)
