X7520 To Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}2/MJ. 2.12.29. PHANTOM 1 SHOCK ABSORBERS. ---------- R.{Sir Henry Royce} has expressed the opinion that we are going too far in putting two .055 holes in the H.P. valve. We are rather inclined to agreed that for cars that go on the Continent these holes will cause insufficient damping. We suggest that you try as far as possible to use the setting for Black's car i.e. one .055 hole H.P.100 L.P.80. Paris might be useful in confirming what leak is tolerable in the H.P. valve.
