It is very pleasant to receive once again your notes on motor cars.

Just briefly reviewing your complaints:

GROAN ON THE FRONT.

In spite of the fact that you have changed the shock absorbers I think these are the culprits. They can, however, be made to work alright.

BRAKES.

I have sent off instructions about the servo. We are mailing you another servo lining.

GEARBOX.

If your clutch is dragging it will make gear changing harder work. In any case, matters should improve as you continue to use the car.

CLUTCH.

I have already dealt with this. A new disc is on the way.

FUEL.

I do not think that you will get any benefit by using fuel better than 87 octane. As a matter of fact, your car should be entirely free from pinking on 80 octane. If, however, you were to fit a set of the pistons which are in the Corniche you would then need 87 octane, to get full benefit from it.

The only trouble you are likely to have is from plugs, which you can change fairly easily. The valves are still stellited.

TAPPET SETTINGS.

The tappet settings which we recommend are: .006 inlet and .008 exhaust.

RUNNING AFTER SWITCHING OFF.

Is this because you have too much antifreeze in your cooling system?
