OVER-OILING WHEN SLOW RUNNING. -------------------------------- It is common knowledge that if the valve guide washers are not a good fit, over-oiling will take place when idling. The felt washers at present fitted as standard perish and have to be replaced at frequent intervals. A new scheme has been evolved for both the 20 HP. and the 40/50 whereby the angle of the cone on the guide has been increased and Asbestos washers fitted (Piece No's 40/50. E.80301., 20 HP. E.56050). This is a big improvement. Unfortunately it is not possible to fit the Asbestos washers with the existing guides. We recommend that whenever it is found necessary to change valve guides that the new type should be fitted that will take the Asbestos washers. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
