Many thanks for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW.20.5.35. I would personally like to see that we could always demonstrate the car at the speed you mention, but I feel, and no doubt you will agree that we should be able to substantiate these speeds with a similar sort of car, when in private hands. It is always better to be a little on the conservative side to avoid disappointment. As a matter of fact we now quote the maximum speed as 88-90 m.p.h. for a standard car, so that if the owner does get a little extra speed he will be well satisfied. I therefore think the best way would be to leave the figures as they now stand. Anyhow, perhaps next time you are in London we can have a talk about this. Bly.{B. W. Bleaney - Bentley Sales} | ||
