As a further alternative for chromium plating, it has been decided that we shall fit one of the existing experimental cars with chromium plating on all the external parts, but with no chromium plating on the parts interior to the body as seen from the driver's seat. This means that the steering column, side lever, instruments and pieces on the footboards will remain with the nickel silver finish. Later it is possible that these pieces will be called for as deposited instead of close plated, but before this can happen we will require a better plant. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
