To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X4050 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.12/KW.15.2.35. 18-G-IV. We want to fit road wheels, size 6" x 17" instead of 6" x 19" in order to reduce the gear ratio. However, in order to prevent reducing the ground clearance we shall need :- (1) One inch thick packing across the spring platforms on the front axle, thus raising the spring and axle control from the axle. (2) Rear springs with an inch extra loaded deflection. (3) Rear spring buffers packed down one inch in order to prevent over-stressing the springs. We have ordered the wheels, tyres and rear road springs. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} | ||
