Out of the Corniche chassis which at present exists, we are going to build the lightest 8-cylinder motor car that we can produce without making a lot of new parts. This will necessitate Ward fitting a bent front pan.

As far as weight saving is concerned, the figures given are the anticipated saving on the new car compared with 11.B.V., which was the lightest 8-cylinder car we produced before the war, but which had not, of course, a very light body.
