(1) CJ7/D2S.8.21 and Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}1/DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}18.8.21.

It was agreed that no further money should be spent at pres-ent on the plant for Chill Castings, the heating and lighting of the new Repair Shop, and floor of new Repair Shop, thus saving the £5,700, because we do not consider we are justified in spending any further money.

Mr.Baldeney is also going further into the question as to what further savings could be made out of the £123,000 mentioned and is of the opinion, although it needs more investigation, that we shall be able to save considerably more than £5,700.

(2) MR. WILLIAMSON'S COMPLAINT. CJ20/D26.8.21.

The Committee notice there is no chassis number given of this car, and that this is the first intimation Test Dept. have had that this particular Mr.Leonard Williamson had a post-war car. Also no one in the Works has had a chance of seeing Mr.Williamson's complaints. The Works Committee feel it would be a very good thing if he could produce his car at the Works so that the Test Dept. could investigate the troubles concerned.

No fresh orders have been given for either Lodge Plugs or Magnetos since R.{Sir Henry Royce} first raised these questions. Standardisation sheet has been signed some weeks ago for the Mercury plugs. We only thought it wise to order 500 Plugs of Mercury type. All have been delivered and used on trials and test cars, and on certain owners' cars which have come back with overoiling complaints. Test have reported on these Plugs as being satisfactory. There was, however, a large stock of Lodge Plugs still to be used and even at the present moment they are not used up.

Re Magneto. - We quite appreciate the new sleeve Magneto
