Bumpers

I have had a word with Bap about the possibility of making bumpers on our own Press here, and the prospects of this seem to be fairly hopeful. It is a 500 ton Press and although primarily designed for pressing large areas, adaptors can no doubt be made for dealing with large concentrated pressures.

I do not think we can be so ambitious as to think we can press a full width bumper, but we might consider a 1/2 or a 1/3 width one.

I think the next move is to produce a sketch (full size) of a probable shape and get Bap to consider it.
