F.O. Hickling, Esq.,
Messrs. Ransome & Marles Bearing Co.,Ltd.,
NEWARK-ON-TRENT.

Dear Hickling,

Could you let me know how the two sets of gear-box bearings, requested in our order No.44168, are progressing ?

We have received two of one size, but are still awaiting the others before we can build up the gearbox.

Could you also please put me in touch with some-body at Wolsleys who would let me have a look at the axle rig described in "The Motor" this week, and with which no doubt you are familiar ? If possible I should like to go over and see it working, and should be very grateful if you could arrange this for me.

Have you yet done any rig testing on the bearing having a 5° contact with the journal side ? We should like to make sure it will run, say, 500 hours before submitting it to a French test.

Yours sincerely,
