To BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y4240 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG10.11.22. 20 HP. RADIATOR SHUTTERS. With reference to your enquiry as regards whether it would be possible for us to send to London a 20 HP. car fitted with a radiator in which the shutters are built into the radiator. This scheme also includes the thermostat for operating the shutter instead of the hand control. We have so far had difficulty in producing a satisfactory sylphon tube. We propose however, to fit up one radiator of this type and operate the shutters by hand in order that its appearance can be judged. We anticipate it will be about 10 to 14 days before this will be ready. It will be necessary to fit this on to one of the experimental cars as it would necessitate altering the cross member in the frame in order to to fit it to a standard production Goshawk.
