The most urgent problem, connected with the development of the new Bentley engine, is to find a combination of piston and cylinder which will bring about a substantial reduction in cylinder bore wear.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has agreed to one suggestion, that we should have the necessary tackle made for Chrome plating the bores. We have recently visited another factory, where they have the process in operation.

Mr Aspley in our Laboratory is fully conversant with what is required by us to do a similar job.

Will you please have one of your draughtsmen colaberate with Aspley so that drawings may be made.
