For the attention of Major Searight.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter ref. TPS/MW. of July 29th and regret that we have been so long replying to it but the Works have been closed for holidays.

We think that the tank unit you have produced is very promising and are going to take the opportunity of showing it Mr. Royce on our next visit to him. We would therefore ask you to let us keep this tank unit for a little while longer as we might conceivably be able to revive the centrally vented rear tank with the dialled filler spout.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
