Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}10/KW.29.3.35. Body Weights. The following list represents the approx. weight added to a standard Bentley car with the noise insulation scheme fitted. The figures have been arrived at by measuring the amount of felt used and calculating on the basis of a square foot of 1/4" thick felt weighing 1 1/4 ozs. and 1/2" thick felt weighing 3 1/2 ozs. Felt on dash 1 lb. 8 ozs. Fibre on dash 2 lbs. 0 ozs. Felt on scuttle 2 lbs. 3 ozs. Felt on floor-boards, surfaces and rear foot wells 2 lbs. 4 ozs. Felt round whole of boot, seat squab and rear panel 4 lbs. 3 ozs. Felt and rubber mat weighs in excess of present sorbo mat 2 lbs. 0 ozs. Steel rear seat board covered with felt (actually weighed) 12 lbs. 0 ozs. Aluminium rear seatboard covered with felt (actually weighed) 7 lbs. TOTAL = 26 lbs. 2 ozs. 21 lbs. 2 ozs.
