XL4617 To Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 3/T19.11.24. X. 4617. 40/50 HP. BATTERY. SPECIFICATION 301. Answering your Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 5/NJ18.11.24, we agree with you that Messrs. P & R's remarks which you quote are superfluous. Also that the paragraph (12) referring to the sealing compound is correct as it stands, the first half having been put in at the request of Messrs. P & R we think, or it may have been that of Exide. As regards the alteration of temperature from 110°F to 100°F, this is not an error, but has been deliberately made because elsewhere it is stated that 'never, during the life of a battery, should its temperature be allowed to exceed 100°F. {Mr Friese} ' EFC. {E.
