contd:- -2- manufacturer's claims after it has been in use. We are in constant communication with the Ferodo people on this point. For a considerable time we have impressed upon them the fact that in the case of the brake liners, we lose the coefficient of friction and the brakes become ineffective. We believe we are getting the same effect on the clutch material i.e., the material as received from the makers will give the coefficient of friction but when used, it becomes less. There is no doubt, that until we fitted the present springs, we could not guarantee the 20 HP. clutch would not slip and continue to slip. We believe that working in co-operation with the Ferodo people we shall be able to find the reason for this. We attach a letter from Messrs. Ferodo Ltd. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
