Tachbrook Road,
Leamington Spa.

For the attention of Mr. Barker.

Dear Sirs,

Will you please let us have one Bentley 10" ventilated clutch. This should have the stronger springs designed to carry 206 lbs/ft. torque. As regards the limits on the cover plate fixing holes and the balancing, these can be as on the previous experimental clutches you have provided us with. We require this rather urgently, and should be glad if you will give it your immediate attention.

Regarding the Phantom centre plate, the one at present in the car, i.e., the one with the excessive cushioning, has now started to jagger badly. We are inclined to think that this is due to the very uneven bedding of the linings on the flywheel and pressure plate and intend to replace it at the first opportunity by the one you brought over the other day.

An official order for the 10" clutch will follow.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
