RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 X. 4079. ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: E.F.C Order No: P.B.79 Date: Feb. 5th 1923 Customer's No. X 4079 Test of Coil T.G. 3. This coil returned from the test house as faulty, was received by us, minus the lead terminal screws on the primary and with a crack in the side of the case near the top. The latter looks as though it might have been done through distortion due to expansion. It is, however, still a good coil; a few tests having been made upon it with satisfactory results. 1 Continuity of windings. O.K. 2 Milliamperes taken by secondary, = 10.8 at 197 volts 5 Sparking very good. i.e. Regular sparking on 7.0mm gaps at 8.5 volts taking .92 ampere. 6 Coil and ballast only. Current through coil = 1.9 amperes at 1.32 volts. Signed: C.A.P. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
