Another point which has been worrying us recently, is that there does not appear to be a buttress tread tyre in production to correspond with our 33 x 6.75 Non Fort silent tread tyre. A number of customers are asking for the buttress tread type of tyre, and we are unable to recommend the 7" x 21" Fort tyre because it will not fit our spare wheel carrier.

We should like to know whether there is any buttress tread tyre which corresponds exactly in dimensions to the Silent tread you are supplying for our 40/50 HP. cars. We feel sure that either we are mistaken, and that such a tyre exists if we ask for it, or that it is only by an oversight that production has been dis-continued; we should like your assurance on this point.

With regard to the two tyres that you mention in your WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}L.W.14.910. 7" 21" tyres with rounded treads and deeper grooves. We think these tyres are a considerable improvement from the steering point of view over the flat tread type, at all events when new, and shall be reporting on them fully in a few days.

The writer would like to come over and discuss some of these points with you one day next week if convenient.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
