Typed Text: - 2 - view. In finally choosing the sample called "Mastic", which we enclose herewith, we think we have found a compromise. It is a colour which will not show the dirt; it is acceptable to Sales as a town Carriage finish, and we think R.{Sir Henry Royce} wont dislike it. We would be very glad if you would give us your views before we finally take any action. We propose upholstering the car in natural grain furniture hide on the grounds of serviceability and expense. Cars in cloth invariably have to be re-upholstered before selling. We attach a cutting of the hide. With respect to the colour pattern, please disregard the deep fawn and the green and red stripe. The mastic is the only colour we are using. Kindly return the colour pattern to Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} With respect to the instrument board of this car, we had intended using the revised frame patch of instruments. If you agree, will you kindly send us merely the outer frame, a standard switch box and a control head. We will then make the instrument board. We understand that you are now beginning to favour the Nivex Gauge in place of the Hobson Gauge, but you will appreciate that to introduce this into the patch would call for a further design. We are expecting to have this body ready in about three weeks from now. We shall be interested to hear whether you have a chassis ready. It would be a great help to Sales if this car could be ready for them to review as a specimen before they start to build cars having the long chassis and a revised chauffeur's steering. Is there any hope of this? Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} attachment. Handwritten Text: R.C We propose using standard fittings. Can we send frame and frame. | ||
