The above scheme shews the addition of a rubber washer on the outside diameter of the adjuster spindle for the brake shoes to ensure a water-tight joint between the spindle and the dust cover. We have also shown on G.CD.181 a hexagon at each end of the pedestals GB.2858/9, to facilitate the assembly of the pieces.
