RE FITTING OF 3 SPRING CLIPS ON BONNET INSTEAD OF 2.
We have had one or two of the above of test and I think they are an improvement as regards preventing the bonnet from rattling.
I do not think however the springs should be made so strong as the friction makes it hard to lift the bonnet and also causes same to wear badly on the bonnet strips.
Brass stops should be fixed on the above strips against which the end of the clips should press.
If the springs could be made more satisfactory as above I think this job is one which should be recommended as standard.
