OBJECT OF TEST.
Acceptance Test for the A.I.D.
(2 hrs.)

TESTER.
V.{VIENNA} Halliwell.

CONDITIONS.
F.X.2. 1st. F.X. rebuilt as a wet liner engine - scheme A, Lec.2301.
Strengthened tulip valves E.26651.
Y. alloy pistons with scraper rings and skirts of decreased length.
20% Benzol.
P.2. lubricating oil.

SUMMARY OF TEST.
After running in for a period of 3 hrs., this engine was opened up to full throttle and a power curve taken :-

R.P.M. 2500 2400 2300 2100 2000
C/B.HP. 538 536 528 486 463

At the conclusion of the power curve an inspection of the cyls. revealed a slight leak into A.6. cyl. A.5. and B.3. were both weeping - this is being investigated.

There was no loss of power during the two hrs. at 9/10ths. rated power, the power developed on full throttle (with silencers) being 512 B.HP.

Oil consumption average 9 pts/hr. The pistons are those which were in use when this engine was a dry liner engine, having skirts of reduced length. All the rings are quite free and the pistons themselves are in good condition. This engine is now dismantled for A.I.D. inspection - it will be rebuilt and submitted for A.I.D. final Acceptance Test.
