Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.
For the attention of Mr. Swindall.
Dear Sirs,
With reference to the recent discussion with our Mr. Johnson regarding Small End Bushes and Rocker Bushes, we have pleasure in enclosing our blue prints B.2203/4, showing how we propose supplying these items in accordance with our usual production methods.
We are, therefore, putting in hand a small quantity of each of these Bushes, as requested in your letter of the 9th June, and hope to let you have delivery in the course of a few days.
We wish to draw your attention to the notes on these drawings regarding the machining of a radius on the entrance edge of the housing, and the necessity of using a pilot to ensure the Bush being put in square, afterwards burnish broaching to size.
We also send you blue print 548 showing burnish broach and drawing 672 of a wimet tipped shell reamer, also details of a punch for pressing Bushes in the housing.
We trust you will find this information of interest, and assure you of our best attention at all times.
Yours faithfully,
VANDERVELL PRODUCTS LIMITED.
