CONNECTING ROD BEARINGS IN A POOR CONDITION June quarter C.C. C.P. Previous quarter C.C. I I C.P. Six months I I 3.AZ.20 . 24.323 Kms. Knock in engine when accelerating from slow speeds. Dismantled the conn. rods certain bearings were found to be in a poor condition, loss of metal etc., same with a report were sent to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} for examination. Fitted a set of new RR conn. rods which cured knock. Dismantled the lower halves of the main bearings, same were in an OK. condition.
